I was driving around the roundabout at the end of the Barking Road, near the Tesco, and I thought about driving down the road for a look, Then I thought 'What's the point?', so I didn't.

REAL - I popped down to Priory Rd, asked the bloke on the gate if I could stick my head around the corner, he flat out refused. So I gave him a sob story about coming from miles and this being my last chance to see the ground before it's flattened.
As a compromise he took a load of pictures on my phone for us which were pretty depressing to look at actually. So I wished I hadn't had bothered.
Off topic slightly, there now appears to be a more extensive range of fast food outlets either side of Dr Who shop.

I think it is obvious that even if we had gone ahead with the redevelopment of east stand when originally planned we would still have moved to the OS.
Anyway, I keep toying with the idea of popping by and having one last butchers of the place when before it is completely flattened...I think it will only sadden me but I just cant help myself (that and I still fancy on taking my own memento away with me!).
Remember riding up on my BMX as kid to have a look at the South Bank being pulled down....got chased out that day by one of the workmen when I tried nick an old sign!).

Went past today.
Few guys with hard hats on, nothing much happening.
You can easily get in the stadium via the east stand.
Loads of memorabilia to be had!!!

I wouldn't mind going back to the supporters club for a few pints before a game, but would rather have the final memory of walking away after the Man Utd game to be honest. Don't really want to see it being pulled down.

The bus Garage has been unused for well over a year, so it's not really relevant that it's now demolished in terms of the board and redeveloping the ground.

Yes, definitely gone - saw it for myself about 2 weeks ago.
The Board will now doubt say that they committed to moving to the OS before TFL announced the closure and demolition of the bus depot.
All irrelevant now though.
Just hope they get on and flatten the place as quickly as possible because the place looks a shambles now, but being the only drinker in The Boleyn felt the oddest of all - Id never seen the big fireplace on the end wall between the side bars before!

Said it loads of times on WHO but I used to work for London Transport (Property) and had all the original stadium designs sent to me through them for the redevelopment of Upton Park.
It was 42,000 I think.
Mostly wrap around stadium too.
Blame Terrance Brown for that, if he'd have not appointed Roeder it might have happened.

3 tier east stand with a tunnel (like Man Utd) so the road could continue underneath and the corners connecting both ends, shift the pitch over back towards the west stand.
FUCKING HELL, WOULD HAVE BEEN CLASS.
But nope, needed to pay for that.
